The Divine Mystery of Cats & Dogs

Klondike

You can't help but feel Klondike (pictured above) studying you, your fears, your honesty, your courage, your love. See for yourself. Klondike is the canine "Mayor of Olympic Valley" commanding the entrance to the parking lot of Palisades Tahoe from the front door of Olympic Valley Ski & Bike.

About That Cat

Thinking it was a bobcat at first, this wild looking feline (pictured below) jumped off Olympic Valley's iconic wood fence, scaring me half to death. She sauntered with me during a jog along the meadow as if to protect me from the coyotes and other predators. Getting bored after a while, her work done, she melted back in with the tall grass spread out before us like a scene from Clint Eastwood's High Plains Drifter.

Which Way?

This colorful fella (below) lost his way for a moment. "Do I go left, or do I go right?" He figured it out. The Village has a way of disorienting everyone, including animals with so many things to see and do, and with so many other dogs at play.

"The universe is full of magical things patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper."

~ Eden Phillpotts

About That Boxer

She wasn't in the mood for a walk, or pictures. Her gaze was calming, nearly hypnotic. She just wanted a little rest and made sure I did too... after this exchange.

They all have something to say, don't they?
